Natural Design Swimming Holes

Pool Construction

At Natural Design Swimming Holes, every project begins with a vision to transform ordinary backyards into immersive, handcrafted swimming environments inspired by nature. From new pool construction to the refurbishment of aging swimming holes, our team combines structural expertise with fine-art sculpting to create durable, organic rock formations and inviting waterscapes that appear naturally formed. With more than four decades of experience in the Sacramento region, we manage every phase of the process, including design, custom rockwork, plumbing, waterproofing, staining, and finish plaster. The result is a swimming hole that looks extraordinary and is built to last. Whether you are planning your first pool or restoring an existing one, we deliver craftsmanship, artistry, and dependable service on every project.

Swimming Pools Start With A Design

Swimming pools begin with a design drawing and a free estimate.

Digging A Hole For Natural Design Swimming Pool

In-ground swimming pools require a hole that will reflect the shape of the finished pool.

Placing Steel Rebar In Swimming Pool

Steel rebar is placed in a grid to reinforce the sculpted concrete pool shell.

Installing Plumbing And Steel Rebar In Swimming Pool

PVC plumbing is installed and pressure tested because it will be embedded in the swimming pool shell during the shotcrete process.

Using Shotcrete To Build Swimming Pool

Shotcrete is air blown concrete with a very fine fiber that adds tensile strength and also allows the sculpting crew to create the rock look below water that is a trade mark of Natural Design Swimming Holes.

Sculpted Concrete Patio Creating Flagstone With Faux Rock

Sculpting the flagstone flatwork and patios also requires the faux rock artist to work quickly and accurately, because there is no second chance with wet concrete.

Building Swimming Pool Waterfall With Faux Rock Stone Texture

The faux rock below waterline must be waterproofed with a stone texture plaster coat, to insure that the pool will not leak.

REFURBISHING OLDER SWIMMING HOLES

As with older automobiles or homes, swimming pools need some maintenance and or repair at some point. Fortunately faux rock swimming pools are relatively easy to refurbish, update or remodel. Natural Design has been building in the Sacramento area for over 4 decades, so we have many older Swimming Holes in need of some TLC. Along with new construction, our team of experienced workers are adept at this craft.
